In 2014, McKean made his professional boxing debut, taking on Luke Barclay. Since then, the Australian fighter has participated in 22 professional bouts and has managed to emerge victorious in every single one of them, remaining undefeated.

At this stage of his career, McKean feels that the time has come for his next big challenge, which involves facing off against Filip Hrgovic. However, initially, the Aussie boxer had AJ in his mind but unfortunately, the bput didn’t materialize.

Hrgovic has also set his sights on a significant achievement and looks determined to defeat his Australian rival. Like McKean, Hrgovic is also undefeated and he believes once he secures a victory against Demsey on August 12, the top-ranked boxers in the division will no longer be able to avoid facing him.

ā€œI have waited patiently and bided my time but the game is up, ā€˜El Animalā€™ is coming for you and is ready to take the belts back to Croatia,ā€ Filip said.

The Croatian heavyweight acknowledges that McKean will be a formidable and resilient opponent, but he firmly believes that his own power and skill surpass those of any previous challengers “The Tower” has faced.
