Kevin Holland tasted defeat at the hands of Jack Della Maddalena at the Noche UFC on the Mexican independence day. After battling it out for five tough rounds, Jack emerged as the victor with a split decision win.

Following his defeat to Jack Della Maddalena, Kevin Holland took to Instagram to announce his next potential opponent. Holland posted a story on Instagram conveying his desire to fight Neil Magny but on one Bizarre condition, the loser of the fight will cut his hair.

Holland also congratulated Jack on his Instagram story saying props to him, further claiming that he outworked Della. Neil Magny is coming off his own loss to a big hype prospect. He was defeated by Ian Garry at UFC 292 in August. So both men have something to prove, and hopefully the UFC will put this potential matchup together sooner rather than later.

JDM emerged as victor by split decision over Kevin Holland. Throughout the fight it was precision versus power, with Holland operating like a sniper from the outside, and Maddalena seeking to close the distance then launch huge barrages of punches in succession.

Holland continued to pepper away with a long jab followed by another punch. Meanwhile, Maddalena kept looking for the opening to rush ahead and launch big left and right hooks to the head.

By the halfway point in the second round, Holland began increasing his attack, frustrating Della Maddalena with his head movement to make the Australian miss. Just when it seemed Della Maddalena couldn’t effectively land shots, he found openings to tag Holland, making the exchanges extremely close each time.

Both sides exhibited strong defense, with Della Maddalena bursting forward in quick spurts. Nonetheless, it was Maddalena who made the most of his offense, consistently stalking forward and unleashing three or four power punches in a row.
