Footage of Lewis Hamilton’s jovial meet-up with Neymar Jr. in Barcelona makes rounds on internet following Mercedes’s video release

Eight-time world champion Lewis Hamilton has pretty much always maintained his status as a star of F1 having connections from Hollywood all the way to the football world. During the Spanish GP, PSG forward Neymar visited Lewis Hamilton in his paddock, and social media went on a twirl about this duo.

The soccer star and the billion-dollar man have had hilarious meet-ups in the past, the most latest being in Monaco GP where Lewis unknowingly avoided Neymar, we can safely say Neymar did not take that to heart after last weekend’s Spanish GP.

Soccer star Neymar Jr. meets Lewis Hamilton during Spanish GP

After the hysterical stint in Monaco, the duo met again during the Spanish GP where Hamilton missed out on the pole position and was set to start on the grid in the 4th position. The pressure was building up on the Racing Star as Mercedes brought in new upgrades for the Spanish GP, hence there was little room for failure during the Spanish GP.

Despite the pressure, Lewis Hamilton proved just as he has time and again that he prioritizes his fans and their entertainment over anything. He greeted Neymar in his paddocks and even let him take a look at the new upgrades on the W14. This was when Neymar expressed his sorrow of never having been inside a Formula One Car, suffice it to say that has been resolved by our Tri-Star.

Lewis Hamilton finishes second following Monaco disappointment

After the disappointing race that followed in Monaco, the Spaniards were quite happy with LWH’s performance as he finished just behind Max Verstappen in the second position. Along with George Russel, Mercedes grabbed the maximum points they could from the Spanish GP and put themselves in front of Aston Martin in the constructor’s leaderboard

Everything went A-OK for Lewis as all his pit stops were under 2.4 seconds and Mercedes brilliantly devised their tire strategy which gave them an edge over Red Bull’s Sergio Perez. It’s imperative to note that both Mercedes drivers, Hamilton and Russel finished in podium places after starting 4th and 12th on the grid respectively.

This would be a race worth remembering for Lewis Hamilton not only as he went home with a podium finish but also due to his soccer friend’s presence during the Spanish GP. Neymar first met Lewis Hamilton during the infamous 2016 COPA America and they have maintained their cordial relationship ever since. The football star is expected to partake as an audience in the upcoming races as well.
