FC Barcelona President Joan Laporta also had his say on the Lionel Messi move to Inter Miami. The Barca President had openly admitted to bringing the mercurial forward back to his home club. He recently talked about how he interacted with Jorge Messi to bring him back after his time at PSG.
Lionel Messi was reluctant to move on the terms stipulated by Laporta. Obviously, with the same responsibility and desire to play well and do things well as always but in a calmer way.” It seems like due to these reasons, Leo preferred a move to Miami.
Laporta also stated how he is getting familiar with seeing Lionel Messi in an Inter Miami jersey. He stated, “It’s a strange feeling, we identify Messi with Barcelona. That’s the way I think most supporters see Messi because most of his career has been at Barca.”
