Micah Parsons, the Dallas Cowboys defensive star, recently received backlash for praising Lane Johnson of the Philadelphia Eagles and telling him to go win a Super Bowl after the Eagles won the NFC Championship game.
The post by Barstool Sports titled “Micah Parsons Telling Lane Johnson To ‘Go Win A Bowl For Our Division’ Is The Lowest, Saddest Moment In Cowboys History” was shared widely on social media, causing many Cowboys fans to express their disapproval.

Parsons wasted no time in responding to the post and the criticism he was receiving, tweeting that the Barstool people were “sick” and that he would never apologize for rooting for his fellow NFL players.
He said “You people are sick! You will sit in your own misery because of a lack of accomplishments than root for others!! I have no Shame! The league is a brotherhood! I’ll never pray down on another man’s success nor be ashamed to say I’m happy for my brother’s success!”

Parsons‘ response was met with applause from around the league, with many people praising him for his loyalty to the NFL brotherhood. Despite the criticism he received, Parsons was firm in his stance and refused to apologize.
Parsons has been a tremendous force for the Cowboys since he joined the team. Last season, he had 13.5 sacks, 27 quarterback hits, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and three passes defended, earning him Defensive Rookie of the Year. He is expected to continue to improve and be a dominant force on the defensive side of the ball.
At the end of the day, Micah Parsons was just expressing support for his fellow NFL player, and what is wrong with that? It’s clear that he is a man of integrity, and shows how highly he values the NFL brotherhood. He is an example of what it means to be a true team player, and that’s something worth celebrating.
With Parsons’ unrivaled work ethic and drive, there is no doubt that he will continue to shine for the Cowboys in the years to come.
