At UFC 290, Brandon Moreno, the current flyweight champion, will face off against Alexandre Pantoja. The Brazilian fighter warned Moreno sternly in the manner of Khabib Nurmagomedov prior to their eagerly anticipated rematch.
In addition to Alexander Volkanovski vs. Yair Rodriguez as the headliner, the co-main event of UFC 290 will feature another exciting title fight. The event is scheduled to take place at the T-Mobile Arena venue in Paradise, Nevada, on July 8, 2023.

Alexandre Pantoja vs Brandon Moreno head-to-head?
When Moreno got his title back in January, he got into a verbal brawl with Alexandre Pantoja in the backstage. Ever since then, there’s been a high anticipation regarding their bout. In a recent statement, the Brazilian fighter reignited the spark between them by The Eagle style warning.
“I’m gonna smash Brandon Moreno. I like when Khabib said that to Conor McGregor: ‘I’m gonna smash your boy.’ That’s what’s gonna happen on July 8th. I come for complete domination like I did in Chile.” Pantoja said.
This is going to be their second encounter in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Previously The Cannibal had a dominating victory against The Assassin Baby in 2018 via unanimous decision. Pantoja was also victorious in their TUF encounter back in 2016.

In UFC 283, Brandon Moreno defeated Deiveson Figueiredo to win the flyweight championship back earlier this year. The Assassin Baby made the difficult journey to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil’s Jeunesse Arena on January 21 in order to fight Deiveson in front of the Brazilian audience.
