Chelsea FC has been in concerning trouble for the last few seasons with nothing working out for them. Rumors of Jose Mourinho returning to Chelsea as manager
After his previous two stints at Stamford Bridge between 2004–07 and 2013–15, recent reports are suggesting that the Portuguese coach might be on his way to another return to his club. According to Mail Sport, the former AS Roma manager is being considered by the Chelsea administration to be the person to change things around at the Blues after their humiliating defeat at Anfield Arena.
During his first two tenures, the club achieved considerable success and secured numerous trophies. During his first stint from June 2004 to September 2007, the team participated in 185 matches, winning an impressive 124 of them.
They suffered 21 losses and 40 draws, resulting in a remarkable win percentage of 67%. This win percentage stands as the highest among all managers who have led Chelsea in over 100 matches. At that time, the club brought home six titles.
However, the second stint didn’t fare much better. Although the team had a successful start, winning two trophies in the first season, their performance took a downturn in the second season. This resulted in a decrease in the win percentage to 59%, ultimately leading to the mid-season dismissal of the manager.
But, no matter what, if the recent reports are to be believed, Chelsea is going to get a beast of a manager in Jose Mourinho who was recently sacked by AS Roma and is already on the list of many clubs like Barcelona and Liverpool.

Chelsea’s problems have persisted thus far this season, as evidenced by their 9 wins out of 23 Premier League games. It is shocking to witness such subpar play from a team with players of the caliber of Raheem Sterling, Cole Palmer, Christopher Nkunku, Enzo Fernandez, and Moises Caicedo.
The club currently occupies the 11th spot on the table with 31 points, which is only 12 points above the relegation zone. It is crucial for the team to start achieving better results in order to avoid the risk of falling into the relegation zone, which would have a significant impact on their club’s history.
Under the current manager Pochettino, Chelsea has scored only 38 goals while conceding 39, which just shows the lack of stability in defense and creativity in attack. But if you take a look at the squad, the case seems different, although the club has been recently hit by an injury crisis and would hope to recover soon from it and have their vital players back in their team.
