The four-time NBA all-star Kemba Walker has recently been released from the Dallas Mavericks after they acquired him in November last year. It appears that Mavericks considered him a burden after his brief tenure.
During this period, Kemba made nine appearances, played 16 minutes per game, and scored 8 points on average with 1.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. His knee injury doesn’t seem to let him go free, as he is seen suffering from it occasionally. In his current condition, the 32-year-old will face a tough time finding a new destination.

Where might Kemba Walker go?
No franchise would want to take him with his recent track record. Prior to joining the Mavericks, the guard tried out for the Brooklyn Nets, Detroit Pistons, and New York Knicks but was unable to maintain a consistent performance on the court.
As the speculation suggests, Walker’s former team, the Boston Celtics, may have an opportunity to grab the former NCAA champion. After his release from the Mavericks, Celtics forward Jayson Tatum, Walker’s old teammate, tweeted the news with shamrock emojis.

Through this action, Tatum might express his desire to reunite with his old teammate. They played together for two seasons before Kemba’s injury arrived. During this time, they were both named NBA All-Stars in 2020. Tatum may think the reunion would help Kemba overcome his injury jinx.

How are the Boston Celtics playing this season so far?
The Boston Celtics have won five of their last seven games to lead the Eastern Conference. They are currently considering trading guard Payton Pritchard and have already traded Noah Vonleh to the San Antonio Spurs in exchange for a draft pick.
As the spot opens for Kemba Walker, should he go to his former team? If he were to go, how is that going to affect his career and his team? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
