Lionel Messi’s ex-UCL winning coach emerges as leading candidate for PSG managerial role

We all remember Barcelona’s 2015 UCL winning team, which had won everything along with a treble and Lionel Messi was the dream boy for that team. The team had great players the likes of Messi, Neymar, Suarez, Iniesta, and Xavi the captain. 

But how many of you remember their hot seat controller Spanish coach Luis Enrique? Spain always produces significant and promising talents both in the form of coaches and players.

Spain is the inventor of one of the best playing tactics in soccer that is Tiki-Taka. They play uncountable passes and dizzy the mind of opponents. Luis Enrique is also considered the triumphant of La Piel de Toro (Spain). 

This high-profile coach is linked with PSG after they sack Christophe Galtier. If the transfer happens then he will reunite with his old tutee Neymar.

During his reign in Barcelona, he won everything as a football coach. He was the last successful manager who handed the Blaugrana their final UCL trophy till now. 

Now he is heavily linked with the French champions. Paris always struggles to achieve their major target of winning the Champions League and is renowned as the giant of European soccer. 

The last time they went very close to the UCL glory was in 2020 under their German boss Thomas Tuchel. They were beaten by the German Champions with a slender 1-0 margin.

His appointment as PSG boss will be a pronounced recruitment for the French capital, as look to offload their constant European failure. Before jumping into the appointment of Enrique Ligue 1 Champions tried to get former Bayern boss Julian Nagelsmann as their head coach. 

However, in the end, the deal failed and now PSG are formidable to sign the former Spanish boss. In this situation, Enrique is in pole position to get appointed as French capital manager.
