Michigan HC Jim Harbaugh hints to stay in his current position addressing to rumors about move to the NFL

As Black Monday is approaching, many NFL fans expected to see former coaches back in action; the list included Michigan Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh.

Before coming to Michigan, the college football coach was responsible for coaching the San Francisco 49er. It was thanks to his efforts that the 49ers went 59-36-1. After the Carolina Panthers downfall this season, many of the Panthers’ fans were expecting the owner David Tepper to hire Jim. Tepper even had a casual talk with the former NFL coach that initially led the fans to believe Harbaugh to make a comeback.

However, things are not always how they seem. Coach Jim Harbaugh has made it clear that he is not ready to come back into the NFL at the moment.

What did Jim Harbaugh say?

Jim Harbaugh, in an interview, has stated he wants to continue his service in the Michigan camp as he went on to say,

“I am aware of the rumors and speculation over the past few days. College and NFL teams have great interest in all our personnel, from players to coaches to staff, and I truly believe that is a testament to the strength of our University of Michigan football program.”

“As I stated in December, while no one knows what the future holds, I expect that I will be enthusiastically coaching Michigan in 2023. I have spoken with President Santa Ono and Athletic Director Warde Manuel and appreciate their support of me and our program. Our mission as Wolverines continues, and we are preparing for the 2023 season with great passion and enthusiasm. As our legendary coach Bo Schembechler said…”

Jim with his statement may have not impressed NFL team owners but he undoubtedly has one the hearts of all the Michigan fans. On the contrary, it will interesting to see how he deals with enormous contracts, as teams are planning to hire him.

Will Harbaugh stick to his words or will he change his mind? only time will tell. Until then stay tuned as we bring you more updates!
