NBA fans outraged over Draymond Green’s ‘resume’ comparison with Lakers’ LeBron James

The 2023 NBA All-Star Game may have come and gone, but Draymond Green is still making waves. In fact, he has made headlines for his recent comments about LeBron James. It’s safe to say that the majority of people do not think that Green comes close to comparing to LeBron James, who has one of the best resumes in the game of basketball. The only player who comes close to James’ career is the Warriors point guard, Stephen Curry.

Green, however, thinks that he has a career that is just as distinguished as James’. During the All-Star Game, he hosted the show for TNT from Utah and dared to say on national television that LeBron James is the only player in the game whose resume can stack up against his own. Maybe Green is hurt that he’s not an All-Star anymore, but he believes that he is just as good as the 4x NBA Champion.

Of course, Green’s comments have stirred up a lot of discussion among NBA fans. Many people on social media have criticized him for his statement, calling him out for being carried by his teammates and for drinking too much Lobos 1707.

However, Green has never lacked personality, and he created waves once again with this take.

But let’s be real: comparing himself to LeBron Raymone James is bonkers. James is a 19x All-Star, 4x MVP, 4x Finals MVP, and has 5x NBA All-Defensive First Team selections. Green, on the other hand, is a 4x All-Star famous for his defense, with just 4x All-Defensive First Team selections. In fact, the highlights of LeBron’s one season (say 2015-16) in his 20 years in the league would be much better than the highlights of Green’s entire career.

While Draymond Green is a 4x NBA champ and a future Hall of Famer, it’s clear that he is nowhere near LeBron James’ level. James is one of the greatest players of all time, and comparing himself to him is just crazy. But, then again, that’s what makes Green such an entertaining personality in the league. Even if his comments are outlandish, he always keeps things interesting.
