Especially after Rihanna’s record-breaking performance in the last season, expectations have been raised for the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show. Reportedly, the league has already started approaching the biggest names in the music industry including the pop star Taylor Swift, who has denied the invitation. 

Currently, the three times Grammy winner Harry Styles and famous singer Miley Cyrus are the top candidates expected to perform at the Big Game halftime show.

According to recent reports, Harry Styles is expected to perform at Super Bowl LVIII with Miley Cyrus. They both are global superstars; however, the anticipation is elevated this time. It will be hard to beat the record of Rihanna’s performance last year. Her performance attracted 121 million views which was more than the views of the Super Bowl championship game as well.

The league will probably try to invite music stars who can break the last season’s viewership record. For now, Harry Styles and Miley Cyrus are rumored to perform. Other potential candidates are Jack Harlow and Bad Bunny. The decision has not been finalized yet, but they can be selected to perform at Super Bowl LVIII as both are famous pop singers.

 

Taylor Swift reportedly declines offer to sing at Super Bowl LVIII

Taylor Swift the global superstar has a huge fan following in the NFL as well. The Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers once shared that he loves Taylor Swift’s songs and the quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers also attended concerts of her Eras Tour. 

 

The NFL GOAT Tom Brady was also spotted at her concert a few weeks ago. After this, it was expected that the league would try to invite Taylor Swift to the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show. According to recent reports, the league did approach her, but she has denied the invitation. 

Although the reason has not been shared, Taylor is not going to perform at the halftime show. It is quite disappointing for all the Taylor and NFL fans, but the league will try to fulfill the fans’ expectations by inviting other global stars like Harry Styles and Miley Cyrus. 

There are six months left till the Super Bowl, but the excitement is already high. The fans are excited not only for the regular season games and Super Bowl championship but also to see their favorite pop stars giving incredible performances in the halftime show.
