Nick Diaz to make Hollywood debut in Jean-Claude Van Damme’s film ‘Darkness of a man’

After sustaining back-to-back losses at the UFC, Nick Diaz announced his retirement at UFC 266 in September 2021.

Now it is reported that this American fighter is set to make his Hollywood debut with James Cullen Bressack’s directorial “Darkness of a man”.

Former Belgian kickboxer and action hero Jean-Claude Van Damme will be seen as a lead hero other than JCVD. The upcoming action movie will feature martial arts legends Cynthia Rothrock, Eric Roberts, Shannen Doherty, Kristanna Loken, and Shannen Doherty.

Co-founder of the Diaz brothers’ Game Up Nutrition brand, Matt Staudt, recently teased a photo of the Stockton fighter at the shooting set captioning,

“The movie I was in LA for the last month wrapped yesterday. Get ready for a new, gritty and dark crime story set in LA starring @jcvd and featuring @nickdiaz209 who killed it. Nick also has a badass fight scene in the film 👊”

“When it got to rehearsing the fight he took over and of course had better ideas than the film’s stunt coordinator which is what ended up being filmed and looked awesome. And as mentioned earlier you even get treated to a super short but awesome cameo from yours truly 😎 Thanks again to @jamescullenb and @jarrettfurst and great job to everyone. Can’t wait to see this movie. Stay tuned for Darkness Of Man 👊”

The elder Diaz not only played a pivotal role but also choreographed one of his fighting sequences, and as per The Hollywood Reporter, this film is about an Interpol agent, played by JCVD, who is working on a mission to save an informant’s son from some merciless gangsters.

However, this is not Nick’s first appearance on screen; prior to this film, he appeared in a cameo in one of the episodes of “Ballers” in 2017.
