One Jorge Masvidal advice UFC fighter must listen to before challenging BMF champion Max Holloway

Max Holloway just pulled the greatest upset at UFC 300 by knocking out Justin Gaethje. Multiple UFC fighters believed that Geathje would be a very hard challenge to overcome for Max Holloway. But the former featherweight champion proved everyone wrong by becoming the new BMF champion. Jorge Masdival recently offered some advice to fighters who look to challenge Max Holloway in the future.

At UFC 244, Jorge Masdival defeated Nate Diaz to become the first BMF champion. WWE superstar Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson wrapped the belt around Masvidal’s waist to start the era of the BMF title reign. According to MMAFightingonSBN, Jorge Masvidal has something to say to UFC stars looking to face off against Max Holloway following his brilliant victory at UFC 300.

He said when Holloway signals or gestures, it’s a cue to retreat rather than engage directly, implying that Holloway’s striking ability is formidable and engaging with him head-on might not be wise.

“He understands the code of the BMF. One of us here gotta be no longer on the feet when the bell rings… It’s the greatest f*cking thing ever,” said Masvidal.

“When that dude points to the ground, whoever the f*ck you are, you become an Olympic track sprinter. Do the opposite. Don’t f*cking engage,” he added.

Max Holloway is one of the greatest fighters to step inside the octagon. With a dominant win over Justin Gaethje, Holloway now has multiple fights in line to further extend his legacy.

Max Holloway from BMF champion to UFC champion once more?

Max Holloway was once one of the most dominant UFC featherweight champions inside the octagon. But then Holloway lost the title to Alexander Volkanovski. With a win at UFC 300, Max can now challenge for the featherweight title once again

But this time, Holloway will need to face current champion Ilia Topuria. Max Holloway is still uncertain about the title bout against Ilia Topuria. When asked whether he would like to fight Topuria, Holloway said, “He’s questionable. I’ll fight him.”

It would be interesting to see what is next for Max Holloway. The ex-UFC champion can challenge Ilia Topuria, win a couple of fights in the lightweight division and face off against Islam Makhachev, or set the record straight against Conor McGregor.
