“Put you straight to sleep”: Just after intense brawl between Conor Benn and Kell Brook, Ex-IBF champ issues stern warning to ‘Destroyer’

There were several stars and fighters in attendance for the undisputed title fight between Chantelle Cameron and Katie Taylor that took place at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. Current WBA continental welterweight champion Conor Benn and retired welterweight Kell Brook were two of the many big names that were present for the fight.

However, them witnessing the fight was not the headline as during this PPV, hell broke loose as Benn and Brook engaged in a physical altercation during the undercard fights. The two boxers started shoving and exchanging words with each other. Before things could get more heated up, security stepped in to intervene and separated Conor Benn and Kell Brook.

Conor Benn reveals the reason behind the physical altercation with Kell Brook

Soon after the two fighters had to be separated by the security at the 3Arena, Conor Benn gave an interview. While having a conversation, Benn explained the reason behind attacking Brook. “Obviously, he’s been talking the most, saying he wants to fight, that he’s gonna teach this kid a lesson, but yeah, it don’t float with me like that. I just said to him, stay retired, mate, stay retired. You’ll get hurt messing with me.”

It is needless to say that the British boxer was unhappy to hear all the chatter from Kell Brook in press conferences and different interviews. Both the boxers are interested to fight and it will be up to Kell Brook as he has to come out of retirement to challenge Conor Benn. As of now, Benn has to deal with his problems for allegedly using a banned PED in October.

Kell Brook responds to Conor Benn’s warning and promises to knock out the welterweight star

A few hours after the physical altercation, Kell Brook spoke to IFL TV. During this conversation, the former IBF champion addressed Benn’s actions and comments in an interview. He also delivered a serious warning to the welterweight star and said that he will brutally knock him out.

“I will put you straight to sleep, little boy. I will hurt him, I will physically hurt him… He’s been put down by a journeyman. He’s not boxed no-one. Chris Algieri? He couldn’t put his fist through an A4 piece of paper. I will hurt you.”

Moreover, Kell Brook has assured everyone that he would come out of retirement if there are any exciting opponents and if the fans want to see a specific matchup. The retired welterweight boxer sounded very confident in his skills as he vows to badly hurt Benn if they clash inside the ring.
