The truth behind Cristiano Ronaldo’s excuses for missing Manchester United training session

Portugal and Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo re-joined the Red Devils last season and became Premier League’s ‘Player of the Year’, after three successful seasons in Italy with Juventus.

The five time Ballon D’or winner, however, turned 37 this year and got dissatisfied with United due to the club’s terrible performance on and off the field; and very recently informed the club about his wish to leave Old Trafford ahead of next season.

The reason Cristiano skipped a training session with United

Ronaldo’s first spell with United was as glorious as his spell with Real Madrid because he managed to win a couple of league title and even the UEFA Champions league with the English club under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Cristiano, however, faced an unsatisfactory return to the Old Trafford due to the club’s poor management and lack of discipline.

As a result, the Portugal skipper recently wished to depart the city of Manchester and told his agent Jorge Mendes to find a new destination for him.

Apart from that, Ronaldo recently requested the club to miss a pre-season training which made his fanbase more curious about his apparent departure.

Reliable soccer journalist Fabrizio Romano also confirmed CR7’s intention to miss the upcoming training by posting, “Confirmed. Cristiano Ronaldo to miss return to Manchester United training today ‘due to family reasons’, club have accepted this explanation.”

Speculations regarding Cristiano’s sudden decision

Multiple sources are speculating that the Portuguese superstar is going to miss the upcoming training session for giving more time to his friends and family in the summer; while other sources are claiming that his frustration with the club’s activities in the ongoing transfer window is playing a vital role behind that decision.

As of today, Cristiano is still a United player and the Red Devil authority also keen on keeping him at Old Trafford for few more seasons but time will say what’s on the fate for the Superstar.
