Tyson Fury names Francis Ngannou as alternative fighter if bout vs Oleksandr Usyk falls through

The negotiations for the possible heavyweight fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are taking a little bit longer than they should be doing at this point. Recent statements made by Fury indicate that he would be interested in engaging in fight with Francis Ngannou if bout with Osyk does not take place.

Since The Gypsy King’s victory over Derek Chisora in December, he has not engaged in a bout. The official announcement regarding Fury’s next major fight has been eagerly anticipated by boxing fans all over the world.

In a recent interview with Give Me Sport, Fury expressed his desire to fight the former UFC heavyweight champion saying, “I’m hoping so, I’m very much hoping so. Because if Usyk doesn’t happen like this month coming, then I’m going to say, right then, let’s move on and do Francis Ngannou.”

Ngannou, who is widely considered the scariest fighter in UFC history, has no hesitation about switching to boxing and taking on Tyson Fury. The French-Cameroonian fighter after terminating his contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship, disclosed his plans for the future, one of which is to compete in a boxing match against Tyson Fury.

Later, in response to Francis Ngannou’s challenge to a fight, Fury has accepted the bout, but only under certain conditions, including the use of unconventional rules and the appointment of Mike Tyson as the bout’s referee.

“And I’m looking to get Francis in a cage with 4oz gloves on and throw down with him, swinging some big bombs. It’s risky because Francis, at one point, was considered the biggest puncher in combat sports. So with 4oz gloves on, all it takes is one punch and it’s all over.” Fury said.

Which of these two boxers, The Cat or The Predator, do you think The Gypsy King will face when he makes his return to the ring?
