Aljamain Sterling Laughs off Henry Cejudo Disregarding His UFC Call Out

Aljamain “Funkmaster” Sterling has ridiculed a call out by former two-division UFC champion, Henry Cejudo! Cejudo has been very active on Twitter recently!

He called out UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski after Volk’s successful title defense against the Korean Zombie, It seems “Triple C” wants to come back from retirement and become the first three-division champ in UFC history.

But in a more recent tweet, Cejudo called out Aljamain Sterling and said he was coming back to “right the wrong”. This was a reference to Sterling’s bizarre disqualification bantamweight title win from Petr Yan. But in the subsequent rematch, Sterling dominated Yan to defend his belt and put the doubters to bed.

Cejudo and Aljamain are back and forth on Twitter:

With Cejudo suddenly calling out the Bantamweight champ, has his priorities suddenly shifted? Is “Triple C” realistically going for the third belt at featherweight? Or looking to take back what was once his and once more become the best bantamweight on the planet?

Before Cejudo’s call-out, Sterling already called out UFC veteran TJ Dillashaw to face him in the octagon. That seems to be the only fight at bantamweight that makes sense for Sterling. With his wins over both Yan and Corey Sandhagen, The herd of elite Bantamweight challengers seems very thin at the moment. But the return of Henry Cejudo could definitely spice things up!
