In the post-fight press conference of UFC Fight Night on ESPN 46, the UFC president talked about the veteran MMA fighter. Dana, praising The Pitbull for his passion for mixed martial arts, said that it is the perfect time for him to go to retirement.

Andrei Arlovski UFC career

Arlovski made his Ultimate Fighting Championship debut back in 2000. On UFC 28 he defeated Aaron Brink with a submission to kickstart his career at the UFC.

In between 2002 and 2005, The Pitbull had the greatest run of his long MMA career. During this time period, Andrei had six straight victories including a run as the heavyweight champion.

The UFC veteran fighter’s career reached peak when in UFC 51 he won against Tim Sylvia and won the golden strap for the first time. In the most glorious year of his career, he defeated Justin Eilers and Paul Buentello to defend his heavyweight title.

The American fighter’s title reign came to an end when a year later Tim took revenge on him by snatching the belt. Suffering back to back defeats at the hands of “The Maine-iac”, Andrei’s dream run in the UFC ended.

However, the Belarusian- American fighter’s second best run came right after losing the title as he went on to win 5 fights at a streak. Currently the former champion holds the record of most wins as a heavyweight fighter.

When is Andrei Arlovski’s next UFC scheduled Opponent?

The 44-year-old fighter has fought in 56 fights in his MMA career. Out of which, he was victorious in 34 bouts and lost 22 bouts.

Even though the veteran fighter hasn’t specifically mentioned about his plan on retiring but he doesn’t have any scheduled fight yet as he just fought Mayes this week.
