UFC star Conor McGregor makes bold prediction on Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz bout: “Slaps the head off him”

The rivalry between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz has to be one of the greatest rivalries in the history of combat sports. It is needless to say that the two fighters have bad blood and don’t like the guts of each other. However, there is mutual respect between the two and one can observe it in different interviews.

The Notorious who was in attendance at the Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia fight in Las Vegas was questioned by one of the interviewers outside the T-Mobile Arena about his thoughts on his arch-rival Nate Diaz taking on Jake Paul in a boxing bout. Interestingly, The Notorious sided with Diaz and predicted that his former opponent will destroy the social media sensation. 

“I think Nate Diaz slaps the head off him, and I look forward to seeing it.”

Speaking about the matchup between Nate Diaz and Jake Paul, The Problem Child is coming off his first professional boxing loss against Tommy Fury. Meanwhile, The Stockton Slugger submitted Tony Ferguson in his last fight in the UFC. Even though Conor McGregor and many other fighters are backing Nate Diaz in this matchup it will be very difficult for Stockton’s Own to secure a win. 

Because this will be Nate’s first professional boxing bout and despite being a good striker, MMA is very different to boxing. Moreover, there is a significant weight difference which will come into play in this matchup. Conor McGregor wants a trilogy bout against Nate Diaz

The scores are even as both Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz have won one fight each. The Stockton Slugger submitted McGregor in their first meeting back at UFC 196 in 2016. Then later in the same year, The Notorious avenged his first UFC loss as he edged past Diaz in a five-round war at UFC 202.

Consequently, everyone around the world wants to see these two superstars clash against each other in a trilogy bout. Just like every fan, Conor McGregor expects to fight Diaz one last time as he wants to gain bragging rights in this epic rivalry. Consequently, after predicting Nate to defeat Jake in their boxing matchup, the Irishman expressed his desire to fight The Stockton’s Own inside the octagon.

Conor has said it in several interviews and on social media that this fight needs to happen down the line. One can expect McGregor to push for the Nate Diaz trilogy fight after his bout against Michael Chandler that will take place this year.
