UFC Vegas 67: Dan Ige, three others get bonuses for their outstanding performance

It was a fantastic night for MMA fans as the UFC returned after a break with their first event of the year. Ige was one of the four fighters who won the best performance of the night bonus.

The highly anticipated first UFC event of the year could not have taken place under any better conditions, as several surprising big fights were confirmed right before the evening’s main card began. A feeling of melancholy pervaded the evening as everyone paid their respects to ONE Championship fighter Victoria Lee and the late UFC Hall of Famer Stephan Bonnar.

Yesterday night, there were four fighters who stole the show with their incredible performances inside the octagon, and each of them was awarded a bonus of $50,000. Dan Ige, one of the four winners of the performance of the night bonus, astounded everyone when he finally secured a crushing victory over Damon Jackson after suffering losses in each of his previous three fights.

Dan, better known by his nick name “50K,” lived up to the expectations when he received a bonus of 50,000 dollars. At UFC Vegas 67, the American fighter faced off against Damon Jackson in the fight that was titled as the co-main event of the evening.

Roman Kopylov, Umar Nurmagomedov, and Allan Nascimento are the three other fighters who each received a meager $50,000 bonus for their outstanding performances in the evening.

Punahele Soriano was almost unable to keep up with Roman Kopylov, and the fight ended in a victory for the Russian via technical knockout. Umar Nurmagomedov’s victory over Raoni Barcelos in the bantamweight division was equally impressive. Meanwhile the flyweight battle was won by Allan Nascimento via submission over Carlos Hernandez.

Fighters who put on a great performance at a UFC event are eligible for the $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus.
