UFC Vegas 67: Roman Kopylov lands huge body kick, finishes Punahele Soriano with TKO

Roman Kopylov prevailed over Punahele Soriano, making this his second consecutive victory in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

The fight between Roman Kopylov and Punahele Soriano took place at UFC Vegas 67 on Saturday, January 14. The fight didn’t go as planned and was over much sooner than expected due to Kopylov’s dominance. The middleweight fight between Soriano and Kopylov was stopped in the second round, 3 minutes and 19 seconds in, due to Kopylov punching and kicking from all angles.

Kopylov’s career record in mixed martial arts now stands at 10-2-0, and his most recent two victories both came for UFc. Kopylov won this fight.

In 2019, Kopylov made his debut in the UFC against Karl Roberson, a fight which he ultimately lost. After an absence of nearly two years, he finally competed in the UFC for the second time against Albert Duraev and was defeated once again.

In September 2022, the Russian mixed martial arts fighter secured his first victory for the promotion with a victory over Alessio Di Chirico. However, when he fought Soriano this time, he had an incredible amount of confidence, which he was able to display from the beginning to the end of the fight.

On the other hand, Soriano, who has a record of 9-3 in MMA and 3-3 in the UFC, did not want to go down without a fight. Despite this, Roman did not let up and continued to put Soriano in a difficult position. The conclusion panned out exactly as anticipated, with the Russian side emerging victorious.

After winning this fight, the Russian fighter, who is 31 years old, must be feeling extremely pumped up. Even a year ago, his career in the UFC was not going very well, as evidenced by the fact that he had a record of 0-2. But now that he’s reached this point, he’s hoping to turn things around in his career for the better and improve his octagon record.
