UFC welterweight contender Michel Pereira impatiently calls out Jingliang, Covington, Khamzat Chimaev to man up and fight him

Michel Pereira is currently the 14th-ranked welterweight fighter in the UFC. The Brazilian holds an impressive record of 28 wins out of his 41 professional MMA appearances. Pereira is currently on a five-fight winning streak and looking for an opponent for his next bout.
“I’m training; I’m ready. My managers are trying to get me a fight in Rio, but it’s been hard to find an opponent. Those are guys are way too picky. I’ve been waiting for the ranked guys in my division to man up and fight me.

In his last fight, Demolidor secured a split decision victory over Santiago Ponzinibbio at UFC Fight Night 206, which took place on May 21, 2022. Pereira has stated that he was offered a fight with Li Jingliang, but The Leech was not interested in fighting with Pereira.
“I’d fight Jingliang, the one Chimaev almost killed. This fight was offered to me and I took it, the it was offered to him and he turned it down. I don’t know what those guys are thinking, the reason why they won’t fight me.”
It seems Pereira is frustrated as there is no opponent available for him. That’s why he called out every person who is ranked in the UFC welterweight division, like Colby Covington, Khamzat Chimaev, Stephen Thompson, and more.
“I’d fight Covington. I’d really like to fight Chimaev, because he talks too much. I’d fight Thompson. The only ones I wouldn’t fight are Luque and Burns. The rest of them, I’m ready for them, they can all come at me. I ask, but they don’t accept it. They’re sissies. Whoever wants it, I’m here.”
Pereira just wants to be in the Octagon when the UFC returns to his country at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on January 21, 2023. The Brazilian and his team will try with all their might to set up a fight on UFC 283.
