“We all have our past”: Jon Jones vs Ciryl Gane in UFC 285 earns sweet gesture from ‘MMA GOAT’ on domestic violence allegations

Jon Jones celebrated his victory over Cyril Gane with his fiance Jessie Moses, who was also in attendance at the momentous occasion in his career.

Since Francis Ngannou left the organization, the heavyweight championship has been vacant. Today at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Jones and Cyril Gane fought for the glorious heavyweight title.

More than three years after his last fight, Jones made his return to the octagon and defeated Gane to get the heavyweight title. It took the American fighter just a couple of minutes to claim submission victory over Cyril.

As soon as the fight ended, Bones rushed to the corner of the octagon and celebrated the massive moment with his fiance, who was also present at the arena.

Jon, in the octagon interview with Joe Rogan, thanked God and further went on to give credit to Jessie, and expressed his gratefulness for her constant support.

What did Jon Jones say about his fiancee Jessie?

“I want to thank my beautiful fiancee Jessie for being my biggest support. I love you so much – my biggest supporter.” Jones said.

The 35-year-old fighter, however, did not have a pleasant last few years in terms of having a happy family life. In February 2022, Jones announced he and Jessie are not on good terms and they are probably going to have a separation, which later did not happen.

A week ago during the UFC 285 fight week, Bones also shared some motivation for anyone who’s going through a similar situation in their life.

“We all have our past, and thank God that he’s making me the man that I am today. Me and my family are better than we ever have been. I just thank God so much for him using me to let other people see that none of us are perfect, and that despite your downfalls, the sky is the limit for those who don’t give up.”

Jon thanked God for bringing this positive change in his life as he believed in God, knew how to get down on his knees, and prayed for better days to come. The new heavyweight champion also expressed his gratitude for a platform like UFC which is the reason why his life is changed.
