“We’ve been waiting for half a year. It looks like he doesn’t want it” Khamzat Chimaev calls out Robert Whittaker claiming Colby Covington went ‘running’

Khamzat Chimaev is one of the most-promising prospects fighting for the UFC right now. He has been inactive inside the Octagon after his fight against ‘Trailblazer’ Kevin Holland, with many expecting him to fight Colby Covington. Since that fight is probably not going to happen, he now eyes Robert Whittaker.

Earlier Borz had this to say, “I have no clue, either. At first, they said it was Colby Covington. We’ve been waiting for half a year. It looks like he doesn’t want it. They all call me out, but as soon as the UFC tries to make the fight, they start running. I think it’s going to be the winner of [Kamaru] Usman vs. [Leon] Edwards III, whoever takes it will face me.”

The Chechen of course gained fame for dominating two separate weight divisions. When he failed to make weight during his scheduled bout against Nate Diaz, many suspected his competency in that weight division. The feud he had with Paulo Costa also suggested that he may move on to Middleweight to settle his scores.

Now it looks like the Prodigy may indeed move to middleweight but to face a different opponent,

“I think I will fight Robert Whittaker. He’s got no opponent. Paulo Costa ran away after talking that much about me and Robert so I will fight Whittaker. I want this fight, although I like him as a human being. He is a solid guy, doesn’t talk trash, doesn’t cross any lines. We are going to have fun at the press conference and fight each other.”

What is next for Khamzat Chimaev-Colby Covington-Robert Whittaker?

Colby Covington has been pretty much radio silent ever since he got assaulted by Jorge Masvidal. His past records say, he probably won’t fight fresh blood like Chimaev. Robert on the other hand knows that he is probably one fight away from getting another title shot and could take on Khamzat for a good payday.

Who do you want to see Khamzat Chimaev-Colby Covington-Robert Whittaker take on?
