Cavani & Martial stays unavailable as United travels to Tyneside to face a formidable Newcastle United side

Manchester United’s striking woes are getting tougher as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his team have to face Newcastle United this saturday without their talismen Anthony Martial and Edinson Cavani. While the former has to serve a 3-match ban as a result of getting a red card against the Spurs, United’s latest arrival Cavani has to sit out to comply with Covid-19 guidelines.

The Red Devils are having a rough time on the pitch in this season’s PL. They are currently sitting at the 16th spot with one win and two losses from the three games they played. The most successful PL club will try to grab the full three points from Saturday’s fixture. However, their official site confirmed this unpleasant news earlier today.

In absence of Martial and Cavani, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have to rely on young Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood to hit Newcastle’s back of the net. Martial, who showed great promise last season, has been the go-to guy for United when it comes to scoring. So, it will be tough for the United to fill his shoes.

United bought free agent Cavani just to tackle this sort of situation. Sadly, the Uruguayan had self-isolated himself since 4th October for a period of fourteen days. So, he will miss out the game 4 of United’s PL fixture. However, United fans can see the 33-years old marksman against his former club PSG in the Uefa Champions League group stage which is scheduled on Tuesday, Oct, 20th.

On the other hand, Newcastle had a decent start after winning two and drawing anotherp one in their first four fixtures. Steve Bruce’s side has no issues of players missing out like their opponent. They will be eyeing to capitalise on the up-front weakness of United.
