Cody Garbrandt vs Julio Arce confirmed at UFC 285 on March 4 in bantamweight division

Cody Garbrandt, the former UFC bantamweight title holder, is known for his incredible knockout abilities. Currently, the American is having a really hard time in the UFC; in his last six UFC appearances, “No Love” has only managed to win one bout.

This 31-year-old fighter’s most recent victory came in June 2021 at UFC 250 against Raphael Assunço. Before that, Garbrandt secured a unanimous decision victory against Dominick Cruz, which earned him the UFC bantamweight title at UFC 207 in December 2016.

The American even moved down in weight and debuted in the flyweight division but could not find the success he was looking for. Garbrandt experienced a first-round defeat against Kai Kara-France in his flyweight debut bout at UFC 269 on December 11, 2021.

Since then, “No Love” has not been fighting, but now it seems the wait is over. Cody Garbrandt is set to return to the Octagon at UFC 285 on March 4, 2023, at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, against the former Ring of Combat bantamweight and featherweight champion, Julio Arce.

The bout was announced in the bantamweight category and will be marked as Garbrandt’s comeback bout in the bantamweight division. Later on, both fighters confirmed the fight on their social media handles.

Meanwhile, the American fighter Julio Arce is also struggling in MMA; in his last seven UFC appearances, Arce only managed to win three bouts. In his last appearance, this 33-year-old fighter tasted a unanimous decision defeat against Montel Jackson at UFC 281.

Considering all the past records, it is a must-win situation for both fighters, so it will be an interesting bout to catch on to.
