Conor McGregor and Megan Fox: The iconic red-carpet brawl that resulted from the UFC fighter’s reportedly abusive DMs

Conor McGregor’s stardom isn’t solely confined to the octagon, ‘The Notorious’ has reached the level of fame that surpasses the community of fight fans. McGregor the celebrity he has become can be seen hanging around with various other celebrities from the entertainment world.

Back in September 2021, Conor McGregor was involved in a weird scuffle as he had a pretty physical confrontation with American rapper Colson Baker famously known as Machine Gun Kelly. The MTV Video Music Awards occur every year to recognize and acknowledge the best in the music video medium. In the 2021 VMA’s, the UFC superstar Conor McGregor was invited to present one of the awards to which he agreed and showed up to the event in a glazing pink suit along with his partner Dee Devlin.

The night soon turned a bit ugly for McGregor as he immediately got into an argument with MGK reportedly started by the American rapper. There are still some doubts as to what instigated the altercation. Some suggest that McGregor was the one who asked for a picture with Megan Fox, which her partner, MGK denied and hence McGregor lashed out at the rapper.

Another theory about the incident suggests, that MGK was the one who approached McGregor because he had allegedly sent Fox some abusive DM’s. It’s been almost one and a half years since that incident and both McGregor nor MGK haven’t really talked about the altercation openly. Although McGregor was asked about the incident just after the event, to which he responded “Nothing happened with me,” He said. “I only fight real fighters. People that actually fight. I certainly don’t fight little Vanilla Ice white rappers. I don’t even know the guy, don’t know anything about him except that he’s with Megan Fox.”

When is Conor McGregor entering the octagon again?

After almost a two-year layoff due to a nasty leg injury that he suffered back in UFC 264 in July 2021. ‘The Notorious’ will finally square off against ‘Iron’ Mike Chandler in the second half of this year. Chandler and McGregor have already competed against each other as coaches in the latest edition of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ that will air on ESPN from May 15th.
