Conor McGregor, the charismatic and often controversial Irish fighter, has once again set the sports world abuzz. Ever since McGregor got really active on his socials after losing to Dustin Poirier, he has been posting rather intriguing tweets.

The enigmatic UFC superstar, known for his mastery of the mic and flair for the dramatic, delivered a cryptic message that has fans speculating about his future in both the UFC and WWE.

In a recent tweet that Mystic Mac posted, McGregor wrote a five word message: “We are just warming up!”.

He quoted a video in his tweet which showed Times Square and how the news of the UFC and WWE merger is being publicly shown on a screen in the Times Square.

The reference to “warming up” has been in context to the merger between the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), two of the most prominent organizations in combat sports and professional wrestling, respectively. Dana White has also spoken of this merger in a press conference before and “The Notorious” has now further fortified the news with his tweet.

While many feel this cryptic message could very well indicate Gregor’s association in any of the coming events of either UFC, WWE or both. Although the combat sports icon is yet to detail on the matter, fans sure are getting excited.

McGregor congratulates Ari Emanuel on Endeavor merger

In another tweet, Conor McGregor also took a moment to extend his congratulations to Ari Emanuel, the CEO of Endeavor which is the parent company of the UFC. Endeavor recently made headlines with a high-profile merger that valued the company at a staggering $21 billion.

McGregor’s tweet read, “Truly outstanding! Congrats Ari and Co.”

This tweet was posted by Mystic Mac as a reply to the news of the launching of “TKO”, which is going to be the organization that combines the powerhouses of UFC and WWE. TKO has a valuation of 21.4 billion dollars and is said to serve “more than one billion young and diverse fans, reaching viewers in 180 countries, and producing more than 350 annual live events”.
