Dana White Claims Francis Ngannou refused to take risk against Jon Jones after watching Ciryl Gane’s defeat

Dana White has already accused Francis Ngannou of dodging the fight with Jon Jones while he was a UFC fighter. Ngannou could not accept the chance of losing to Jones, according to the UFC president, who made the same assertion once more.

There was a chance for Francis and Jon Jones to fight on several occasions, but nothing came of it since The Predator left. In the post-fight news conference for tonight’s UFC Fight Night, Dana asserted that Ngannou ran away from Jones.

What did Dana White say regarding Francis Ngannou fighting Jon Jones?

“Francis wants to take zero risks, he doesn’t want to take any chances, and he obviously didn’t want to take a chance against Jon Jones, and after we saw what happened with Ciryl Gane, I don’t blame him,” Dana said.

Dana also came under fire from Ngannou for such accusations. Francis defeated Stipe Miocic to win the heavyweight title. A year later, Francis faced Cyril Gane to defend his gold strap. Bones wasn’t active in the octagon during the time The Predator reigned the heavyweight division of UFC.

What happened when Bones fought Bon Gamin?

Jon Jones returned to the UFC after a three-year layoff. The former lightweight heavyweight champion faced off against Cyril Gane in the octagon at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and ultimately forced Gane to submit in the first round.

Dana White thinks Bones would have done the same thing to Francis too. Francis would therefore have no chance against Jones, the two-division champion, even if the two met in a battle.

“I think the outcome would have been exactly the same, and I’m sure most of you do, and I think Francis does too. I don’t think that he’s afraid of anybody; it’s just that he doesn’t want to take any risk.” Dana added.
