Conor McGregor, who is widely regarded as the most controversial fighter in the history of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, has lately received accolades from none other than the living icon of boxing, Mike Tyson.
At this point, Conor McGregor has been away from the cage for nearly two years, but the Irishman is finally making his comeback, but first as a coach in The Ultimate Fighter’s 31st season, and then as a fighter later this year against Michael Chandler.

During one of the episodes of “Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson,” Mike Tyson provided a comprehensive discussion regarding the Irishman. Conor, however, would be overjoyed to hear what the renowned boxer had to say about him because Mike was almost entirely positive about him.
“You have to have a gimmick… It’s real, but it’s a gimmick. The only guys that have all the money have a gimmick. Look at McGregor. He has a gimmick. He’s crazy, he’s bold, it’s a gimmick. In real life, he’s a beautiful guy.” said Mike Tyson

Iron Mike had lots of reasons to enjoy Conor’s demeanor, one of which was the fact that Mike himself was just as notorious as the Irishman or even more so than McGregor throughout his boxing career. The lightweight fighter also enjoys being in the spotlight for his scandalous exploits, regardless of the fact that he may or may not have a fight coming up.
Most recently, McGregor was accused of sexually assaulting a lady while on vacation with her on his private yacht in the summer of last year, a story that captivated the attention of people all over the world. The Irish superstar has constantly insisted that the accusations leveled against him are false.
Last Thursday, the former two-division champion flew into Las Vegas, Nevada to begin preparing for filming of the 31st season of The Ultimate Fighter.
