“How do you think she got the Jon Jones interview”: UFC star Sean Strickland takes sly dig at MMA reporter

UFC Middleweight contender Sean Strickland is known for his brash words and no-nonsense attitude. Be it inside the octagon or in the interviews, Strickland comes off as aggressive to many. However, he has a funny side that comes out during press conferences and media interviews.

A few days ago, Strickland sat down for an interview with Instagram influencer and YouTuber Nina Marie Danielle. This interview was completely raw and unfiltered and it was filled with funny moments. During one of the segments, Strickland took the mic from Nina and the two had a fun banter and thereafter the UFC middleweight took a sly dig at her.

“I don’t like to put big black things in my face”, said Strickland. Nina responded, “I think you are used to it.” This led to Sean Strickland making a joke about Nina. “I think you are used to it anyways. How do you think she got the Jon Jones interview? I’m just f*****g with you, I’m f*****g with you.”

Nina didn’t take offence to Strickland’s comments and shrugged them off by laughing it out. It is needless to say that this was a wild conversation and fans were blown off by Sean’s comeback.

Sean Strickland set to headline UFC Fight Night against Abus Magomedov

A week ago, UFC President Dana White announced that Sean Strickland will step inside the octagon against newcomer Abus Magomedov in a five-round main event bout on July 1st at UFC Fight Night. This news comes as a big surprise because Strickland is #7 in the middleweight division and accepting a fight against a newcomer doesn’t make much sense.

Many fans have criticized Strickland for his move to fight an unranked middleweight. However, the American fighter justified his actions by saying that he would have to wait for a long time to fight someone in the top six of the division.

Speaking about his opponent, Magomedov has a 25-4 record. He put the division on notice by sparking Dustin Stolzfus in 19 seconds in his UFC debut.

However, the newcomer has been struggling to find a fight as two of his match-ups were scrapped earlier this year. It might turn out to be an easy fight for Strickland but the American middleweight has a lot at stake as a loss would jeopardize his rise in the division significantly.
