“I would love that fight” Stephen Thompson calls out Conor McGregor following dominating victory vs Kevin Holland

Stephen Thompson started his fighting career as a kickboxer, where he holds a record of 58 wins and no losses out of his 58 appearances. After that, the American fighter joined the World Combat League.

In a WCL bout, Thompson suffered a massive knee injury. During the recovery period, Wonderboy prepared himself for joining the UFC, and in 2012, the American started his UFC career and currently competes in the welterweight division.

In his professional MMA career, Thompson holds a record of 17 wins, six losses, and one draw, out of his 24 appearances. In his last bout, he secured a TKO victory over Kevin Holland at UFC on ESPN 42 on December 3, 2022.

Following that dominating victory Wonderboy calls for a fight against the former UFC champion Conor McGregor who is expected to return to the Octagon next year.

“100% [he’d take the McGregor fight]. 100%. I would love that fight. I think it would be an awesome fight. We’ll shake it out right there in the middle of the Octagon. So, that would be a fun fight for sure, man. Let’s make it happen!”

But the fight might not take place, as Conor is more interested in fighting against Dustin Poirier. In a recent Twitter battle with the Diamond, the Irishman revealed that when he would be back in the Octagon, he would take down Poirier in a really bad way to avenge his most recent defeats.

“Ye I’m in Amsterdam jacked like van damn. You weren’t just hurt pal. You were scared hurt don’t forget it. I’m coming back to put you in a box. Full of it. I’m sending you off this earth. Permanent. Stay waiting for the road house as well pal you and the missus will love it.”

The tweet battle started when Poirier posted his hospitalized picture from his Instagram account.
