“I’m coming to knock you out” Ex-UFC middleweight Alan Belcher wants to fight Francis Ngannou in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship

When Francis Ngannou parted ways with the UFC, it was already expected that many fighters will want that fight. Now former UFC Middleweight fighter Alan belcher has come forward to challenge the former Heavyweight king. Before we discuss the possibilities of a potential Alan Belcher vs Francis Ngannou, let’s hear the challenger’s statements.

During a recent interview, Alan presented his case saying, “I’m 100 percent interested in that. I want to fight the best in the world, and Francis Ngannou checks that box. It’s the attention and the publicity and the money that fighters want. I think this is what the fans want to see. In my last couple of years, I’ve set out to be a knockout artist. In my first fight [in BKFC], I went to a decision.”

“I was just kind of feeling it out. But after that I really went to work, and now that I’ve got my feet wet, I’ve got my confidence, and what I’ve been working on is really figuring out the science of how to end the fight with the hands really quickly, and if it doesn’t happen very quickly, making sure that I’m winning every, single round by continuing to search for the knockout”, he continued.

Will we actually see Alan Belcher vs Francis Ngannou?

As things stand right now, a fight between Belcher and Ngannou seems extremely unlikely. One of the main reasons Franciws left the UFC was because he wanted huge fights. The Cameroonian felt like he had done enough to solidify his legacy and became more interested in landing money fights against the likes of Tyson Fury.

We will not raise many questions regarding Belcher’s knockout capabilities as he won his last two fights via first-round KO. But he is unfortunately not a big enough name yet to lure ‘The Preator’ for a mano-e-mano brawl. For now, he should really focus on his upcoming championship fight against Arnold for heavyweight glory.

Who do you think Francis Ngannou fights next?
