“I’m going to slice through him” Conor McGregor’s brutal prediction for UFC comeback fight vs Michael Chandler after TUF 31 coaching session

One of the biggest names in combat sports is finally set to make his comeback inside the Octagon. When Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler was announced, many fans got hyped up for a competitive fight. But if recent comments from ‘Mystic Mac’ are anything to go by, then we might be looking at a quick fight.

In a recent interview, Conor discussed his upcoming bout, “I think I’m going to slice through him. I think I’m a little too slicey for him than anyone else he’s fought. A little too snappy and whippy and I think I’ll slice through him. 185, that’s what I said to him yesterday; ‘Do you know what weight we’re doing, are you alright with 185?’ Just having a buzz with him, he’s a nice boy.”

He further added, “I like Michael, I had a good little buzz with him yesterday. I think he’s a good fighter, coaching against him? I’m interested to see his coaching style, he’s more of an athlete type of a guy than a technical martial artist. I know he’s got some skills in the wrestling department and he’s got some skills overall. As far as the small, finer details, I’m interested to see.”

Will Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler be this easy?

Michael Chandler has a very interesting resume. Not only was he a champion at Bellator but he also took on one killer after the other following his transition to UFC. He has already fought Dan ‘Hangman’ Hooker, Charles ‘Do Bronx’ Oliveira, Justin ‘Highlight’ Gaethje, ‘Diamond’ Dustin Poirier, and Tony ‘El Cucuy’ Ferguson.

A common theme in all of Chandler’s fights is his willingness to stand and bang as that makes the fights seem more interesting. This may be one of the reasons why he currently holds 3 wins and 2 losses in the UFC. McGregor has also struggled on the ground against most fighters who have a good ground game.

Since Michael wants to sell fights, he will probably avoid using his wrestling against ‘Mystic Mac’. This gives Conor a chance to potentially knock ‘Iron’ out.

We will have to wait a little bit more to find out how the fight goes as both athletes are filming a TUF season currently.
