“I’m gonna suffocate him” Marvin Vettori Drops Brutal take on Fighting Robert Whittaker in UFC Paris

UFC Middleweight contender Marvin Vettori has prophesized that he will suffocate Robert Whittaker when they meet at UFC Paris in September.

The UFC will go to Paris for the very first time with a very stacked card. One of the most highly anticipated fights on the card is between Middleweight contenders Marvin Vettori vs Robert Whittaker. The two former title challengers were set to fight at UFC 275 before Whittaker pulled out with an injury.

Vettori is coming off a victory against Paulo Costa, and will be looking to keep the momentum going. He has lost two fights against champion Israel Adesanya, but knows he could be in the conversation if he beats the number 1 ranked Whittaker.

In a recent interview, “The Italian Dream” has predicted that he will suffocate the Australian when they meet in Paris, ” This is a fight that I really wanted. He’s somebody that I want on my record. I think my style matches up well against his. I’m gonna suffocate him and get the win. I’m gonna show I’m the best again.”

“I’m right there, reaching for the title. It’s gonna happen. After I beat him (Whittaker), it means I’ve beaten everyone except Adesanya. It’s just another step towards my goal.”

Vettori wants to be the first Italian champion. He has lost twice to Adesanya via decision, though the first meeting was not a championship bout. There have been speculation that he needs to change divisions to fulfill his ambitions, but the Italian seems very focused on the middleweight crown.
