Brendan Allen vows to challenge Israel Adesanya for UFC gold

After engaging in a wild striking affair and coming out on top, Brendan Allen had a conversation with Daniel Cormier in the post-fight interview. While speaking to the retired UFC fighter, Allen claimed that he is the biggest danger to the middleweight champion Israel Adesanya. All in also warned Izzy to be ready for the challenge and promised the fans that he will win the belt next year.

“I’m the youngest guy in the top 15 with some of the most fights. I’m really doing this, I’ve been out here and I haven’t even reached my prime, I haven’t shown everything. I will be the next champion. I’m the only guy to be able to threaten the actual champion everywhere. So with that being said, Izzy, ‘And New’ in 2024, I’m coming.”

Apart from calling out Izzy in the post-fight interview, Brendan Allen showed interest in fighting Jared Cannonier in a title eliminator or in facing Dricus Du Plessis if he loses to Robert Whittaker. Both the matchups are very exciting and given the rankings of the two middleweights, it makes sense to book the fight.
