“Living rent free in his head”: Jared Gordon claims if he wins vs Bobby Green rematch with Paddy Pimblett would be “fighting backwards” in his UFC career

Jared Gordon, the American MMA fighter, recently made headlines when he responded to Paddy Pimblett’s call for a rematch. In a recent interview, Gordon claimed that he is “living rent-free” in ‘The Baddy’s head and that he would be happy to give him a rematch.

However, he will give it a shot only if it makes sense from a business standpoint. And he added a prerequisite of his win over Bobby Green as well.

How is the feud between Jared Gordon and Paddy Pimblett

Gordon and Pimblett faced off in a highly anticipated fight in March, with Pimblett ultimately emerging as the victor at UFC 282. However, Gordon feels that he could have won the fight if he had been more patient and waited for his opportunity to strike.

Owing to his controversial loss, Gordon still seems to hold a grudge against Pimblett, who he claims has been talking trash about him on social media and trying to get under his skin.

“He’s just trying to stay relevant by using my name,” Gordon said. ‘Flash’ claimed that Pimblett is well aware of the value of Gordon’s name. The American proclaimed himself as a big name in the sport. Which is why Gordon thinks that Paddy’s trying to keep the feud going.

Gordon went on to say that he would be happy to give Pimblett a rematch, but only if it made sense from a business standpoint. “If the UFC wants to book the fight and it makes sense for me financially, then I’ll do it,” he said. “But I’m not going to let him live rent-free in my head. I’ve got bigger things to worry about.”

Gordon is open to Pimblett’s offers

The animosity is very real between the two fighters. Going on to discuss Pimblett, Gordon expressed his admiration for Green, calling him a “tough fighter”. Jared acknowledged that Green can be the better man on the night of their fight.

However, Gordon also made it clear that he is not one to back down from a challenge. So, if the situation arises after this match, ‘Flash’ would be ready to face Pimblett again.

Gordon’s recent comments about Paddy Pimblett show that the two fighters still have some bad blood between them. While Gordon is willing to give Pimblett a rematch, he also wants to make sure that it makes sense from a business standpoint.

It is evident that Gordon is not letting Paddy get under his skin. Whether or not the two fighters will face off again remains to be seen.  There’s hardly any doubt that a rematch would be highly anticipated by MMA fans around the world.

What did you make of these comments? Do you think these two should sort things out in the octagon? If so, who would emerge as the victor in your opinion?
