Michael Bisping claims Khabib Nurmagomedov to live “rent free” in rival Conor McGregor’s head

People continue to talk about Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor’s rivalry even though it has been four years since their legendary fight at UFC 229. Michael Bisping recently offered his opinion on this legendary rivalry, making him the most recent person to discuss their conflict.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is, without a doubt, the most competitive mixed martial arts promotion in the world. Fans of the UFC are just as passionate about rivalries between fighters as fans of any other combat sport. The intensity of the rivalry between Khabib and McGregor was a blast for the audience to watch and enjoy all the way through.

In a recent YouTube video, retired MMA fighter Michael Bisping discussed this thrilling rivalry. As Bisping sees it, Conor has yet to get over Khabib’s defeat, so the ghost of the Russian is still lingering over the Irishman.

There is no denying that Conor McGregor is one of the most divisive UFC stars. Over the course of a decade, he had 14 bouts in this promotion, winning 10. Conor’s accomplishments in both the featherweight and lightweight divisions have earned him widespread praise. Yet, he has only one victory in four years since losing to Khabib.

Despite The Notorious’s defeat and Khabib’s obvious submission victory, Conor never stopped trash-talking The Eagle. Bisping believes that despite Khabib being less likely to respond, Conor will continue to occasionally mention him in tweets.

“He is well known for his rivalry with Conor McGregor, and McGregor will never let that go. He always talking s***t about him online. And to be fair, you know I’m not taking sides in it but Nurmagomedov has never really seen him respond too much. I think it was one time in an interview where he might have said something.” Bisping said.

The English sports commentator relived this rivalry after Khabib Nurmagomedov announced his retirement from coaching and MMA for good. Though the Russian lightweight champion retired from the UFC in 2020 as a fighter, the undefeated continued his journey in the sport as a coach and promoter.

Michael, who has taken no side in this rivalry, has criticized the former featherweight and lightweight champion, saying that Conor is all talk and that all he has to sell is his fight with Khabib, which generated a great deal of interest in the sports world.

“But for the most part, he just says this is no.1 bulls**t. And he doesn’t rise to it. But that fight with Conor McGregor was the biggest fight that the UFC has ever put on. It was something like 2.2Million PPV buys” Bisping further added.
