Michael Bisping disagrees with Mike Tyson’s advice, pushes Conor McGregor to fight the best when he returns

Michael Bisping disagrees with Mike Tyson’s advice to Conor McGregor, and says the Irishman to fight the best fighter when he returns.

Last week,on Henry Cejudo’s “The Fight Card” Podcast, Mike Tyson gave some advice to the iconic Conor McGregor. McGregor, who is currently recovering from a broken fibula, is set to return to the octagon in the near future. While many people are being touted as potential opponents, legendary boxer Mike Tyson had some advice for the former two-division champion.

“After a defeat, you should do a couple of fights to get your feet wet. Conor, I think you should build your confidence up and go do what you do: win excitingly. No big-time guy, let him get three fights and build his confidence back up. Every fight the opponent goes to a higher level.”

However, former UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping disagrees with Tyson, and has some advice of his own for Conor.

“The circumstances with McGregor right now, it’s a risky one. Tyson said have two or three fights before you go into a big fight like that. There’s risk and there is reward. There are no guarantees in the fight game, and if he loses to them (someone outside of the top five) then it’s even worse if he has to go in against the champ Charles Oliveira.”

“If you go up against the champ Charles Oliveira first. you get beat, oh well, so what? No big deal. Everybody is losing to him right now. Charles Oliveira is the man, However if Conor loses to someone ranked down the pecking order, ranked sixth, or seventh like that, now that’s a very different conversation that’s taking place.”

What’s Next for Conor McGregor?

He is the biggest money fight in he UFC, and most fighters recognize that. Conor, however, will be looking to get some momentum beside him after losing 3 of his last 4 fights.

He last fought against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. He lost the fight as he broke his fibula in the middle of the fight.
