Months after UFC president Dana White showed interest in broadcasting Elon Musk vs Mark Zuckerberg, $240 billion CEO claimed fight would be televised on his network

Two of the world’s most famous Tech Billionaires Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk might be having a MMA fight in the octagonal ring of UFC as earlier confirmed by UFC CEO Dana White. Although fans of both Tech CEOs were not really sure whether the fight will ever happen.

But the recent interaction between Musk on X and Zuckerberg on Thread has revealed some major details of the most awaited match. Let’s have a look at what these tycoons have revealed.

Elon Musk declares his fight with Mark Zuckerberg would be streamed on Twitter

Two of the world’s most famous tech billionaires are assuring netizens that they will go head-to-head in a fight. Elon Musk, who owns the site formerly known as Twitter, now renamed as X, and Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook and Instagram parent company Meta, took to their social media platforms to share details about their potential bout.

“Zuck v Musk fight will be live-streamed on 𝕏. All proceeds will go to charity for veterans,” Musk tweeted on X on Sunday. To this, Zuckerberg replied in a quirky way on Threads, “Shouldn’t we use a more reliable platform that can actually raise money for charity?”.

It is still unclear about the seriousness of the proposal for a fight or whether it will ever happen in the future, but the two tech bosses have been talking about it for a long time now.

After the two tech moguls shared new details about the supposed fight, an X or Twitter user came up with some stats about each, saying 39-year-old Mark Zuckerberg is shorter and weighs less than Musk, but is a trained Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, while the 51-year-old Elon Musk is 6’2″ and reportedly 187 lbs., to which Musk sarcastically responded: “I weigh at least 300 lbs.”

Details on Elon Musk vs Mark Zuckerberg’s potential bout

The potential MMA fight between Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg vs. Twitter or X CEO Elon Musk has been largely hypothetical up until now. Sure, UFC President, Dana White, has already claimed it’s “totally real” and definitely not a gimmick. But, were Musk and Zuck serious about stepping into the cage?

Well, Mark Zuckerberg is very serious and he just revealed the date when he wants the fight to happen the date announced by Meta CEO is Aug. 26, 2023.

The latest back-and-forth began when Musk shared his current training schedule. “Am lifting weights throughout the day, preparing for the fight,” he tweeted. “Don’t have time to work out, so I just bring them to work.  To this, Zuckerberg responded on Threads (his Twitter/X clone) “I’m ready today, I suggested Aug 26 when he first challenged, but he hasn’t confirmed. Not holding my breath … I love this sport and will continue competing with people who train no matter what happens here.”

“Exact date is still in flux,” Musk replied on X or Twitter. He said, “I’m getting an MRI of my neck & upper back tomorrow. May require surgery before the fight can happen. Will know this week.” Elon Musk’s spine isn’t in the best of shape, and it partially has to do with martial arts. According to Elon, he herniated discs in his spine tossing a sumo wrestler. Imagine if he can do that to a 400-pound sumo fighter, what would he do to the 155-pound Zuckerberg? Although Zuckerberg is training with his trainer at the moment for securing victory if they both face off soon.
