“nothing worth having in life comes easy” Aljamain Sterling breaks down weight cutting struggles

UFC Bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling has broken down the process of weight cutting, and advised people on how they can remain motivated and disciplined to cut weight.

Weight cutting is a rigorous process. Whether it is for a UFC fight, or just in general to lose some pounds, weight cutting takes a lot of effort. Sometimes people think that cutting weight is very easy. There is a notion that you can lose a lot of weight even without putting in hard work, and just by not eating.

But on his podcast- The Weekly Scraps- UFC Bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling has touched on this notion. he said, “”I see people doing tea, and stuff like that. I’m not saying those things don’t work, but they are supposed to be supplemental. There is no quick fix remedy.”

“You find me somebody, who can just sip herbal tea, lose weight with their daily activity, without adding in anything else in terms of a shift in their diet, or a shift in their workout- if they do not do any of those things, and they’re just waking up drinking tea, going to work, and sitting on their ass, going to sleep, staying up late at night- all those things- you show me that and I’ll be blown away.”

“I don’t think there is anything like that out there. There is no shortcut to hard work. You gotta put the time in. Like in anything in life, nothing worth having comes easy.”

The Funkmaster has been in jovial mood recently after defeating interim champion Petr Yan to become the undisputed champion. Sterling first won the belt in unprecedented fashion via disqualification, but second time around he won it the right way.
