Randy Orton’s wife reportedly texted Nia Jax after her domination in Royal Rumble match got RKO’d

As WWE Royal Rumble is closing in, the anticipation regarding the event is mounting way higher as the 30-men Battle Royal comes with among the most talked about.

Nia Jax has been long absent from the WWE ever since she got fired back on November 4th, 2021 at the age of 37. Of course, as is common practice for retired WWE stars, she has been appearing in different shows here and there. On such a similar appearance for the Wives of Wrestling podcast, the former wrestler talked about the time she got RKO’d by none other than the legend Randy Orton in a Royal Rumble Match.

The former wrestler was naturally nervous as Orton’s RKO is one of the most iconic moves in all of wrestling alongside moves like the ‘People’s Elbow’ performed by the Rock. She elaborated,

“I mean, I was freaking out. I said I have never taken the RKO, I’ve never taken the 619, I don’t want to f*ck this up. Are you kidding me? Like, these are some of the biggest moves in wrestling history. And I’m about to take this live and I’ve never taken it before and I just remember saying, ‘Randy, I don’t want to f*ck this up. Should we walk through it? Do you want to RKO me in the hallway?’ And he was just like, ‘Kid, don’t worry. He’s like, just turn to the left and just ride with me.'”

But despite all her worries, things went well and the move was executed properly. Later, she even went on to become the RAW champion and stayed with WWE until her release in 2021.

Randy Orton on the other hand lost against the Usos in the Raw Tag Team Championships back in 2022. After going through a major back injury he had to sit out pretty much the entire second half of 2022. Wrestlemania 39 is expected to host many big stars and some fans want to see Randy added to the roster.

There are rumors that Randy may never step back into the ring but fans want to see their hero receive a proper sendoff.
