Contrary to popular belief, Roman Reigns’ long-standing reign in WWE may be coming to an end and it looks like Kevin Owens will challenge his reign at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

Wrestling fans all across the world are getting pumped up for the upcoming WWE main event, The Royal Rumble. Just before the big event, Kevin Owens had challenged Roman Reigns to a fight for the WWE Universal Championship. For quite some time, Roman Reigns, the WWE Universal Champion, and Kevin Owens have been at odds.
Last year, on the final Smackdown of the year, Kevin fueled the fire between himself and Roman by teaming up with John Cena to defeat Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn.
Consequently, Roman and Owens will be focal points of the 36th Royal Rumble, a professional wrestling event.

The Headlock Master threw fuel to the fire of his feud with The Tribal Chief by pointing the finger of blame at the latter for holding the championship. Kevin has been engaged in a battle with Roman Reigns for the better part of a year, and with John Cena’s return, he has finally prevailed over the Bloodline.
”Now on Saturday night, at The Royal Rumble, I give you my word, I give everyone in this building and everyone watching from home my word that I will do everything I can to change that and take that title and give everyone a champion they can be proud of.” Kevin Owens said.

In the ‘Keepin’ It 100′ podcast, former wrestler Disco Inferno speculated about who would win The Royal Rumble saying, “I don’t know, but I’m telling you this much. I would absolutely not be surprised if Sami screws over Roman and Owens takes that belt on Saturday night,”
It is clear that the Tribal Chief’s defeat at Smackdown in Kevin’s hands had left him with lingering resentment, so the next stage of this conflict, assuming everything goes according to plan, should be a thrilling clash for the fans.
