Rapper Drake loses $400K bet after Tommy Fury’s split decision victory vs bitter rival Jake Paul

Rapper Drake, who has recently developed an interest in betting on combat sports, lost a $400,000 bet yesterday on Jake Paul.

The much-anticipated fight between Paul and Tommy Fury, which has been planned for two years, finally took place last night in the Diriyah Arena in the Saudi capital. Despite being considered the favorite by bookmakers and boxing analysts, YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake lost the fight by split decision.

Many internet celebrities supported Jake in this grudge battle, and Canadian artist Drake also wagered on Jake just before the fight. Paul was definitely surprised seeing Drake, who usually places his bets on UFC fights, making such a big bet on him.

“Wow, by KO knock knock who is there it is me? Drizzy, I have got you bro easy. But after that we need to go on vacation on you for all that money you win. You are paying Drake, let’s go.” Jake said.

However, The Problem Child lost the game and Drake lost $400,000 in the same night. Jake’s hope of taking a vacation with the music star appears to have faded along with his disappointing ring defeat.

Drizzy’s interest in gambling is not surprising given that he has been betting on UFC matches for more than a year. But the 36-year-old musician has never wagered on boxing before, and he can definitely say it was not a good start for him.

Drake first began placing wagers on a grudge match between Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington, which he ultimately lost after backing Jorge. When Drake put his wager the next time on Justin Gaethje to defeat Charles Oliveira for the lightweight title, he once more lost a substantial sum of money.

The Last Stylebender, Israel Adesanya, defeated Jarod Cannonier to retain his title, and Drake eventually prevailed in a $1 million wager on Adesanya.
