The flyweight title fight between Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo was co-headlined at UFC 283. It was the fourth fight in a row for both combatants inside the octagon. Although the conclusion was expected, Figueiredo did his best to earn the respect of other MMA fighters and fans. The pro-fighters’ reactions flooded social media.
Earlier, at UFC 283, co-headlined by a flyweight title fight between the pair took place. Where Brandon Moreno came out with a victory over Deiveson Figueiredo.
Although their previous record was pretty equal. Figueiredo, also known as “God of War,” entered the ring with a record of 21-3-1, having gone 6-1-1 over his past eight fights overall. On the other hand, The Assassin Baby entered the ring with a record of 21-6-2, having gone 6-1-2 over his past eight fights.
However, records are just numbers inside the octagon. Having better records in the past eight matches didn’t win the match for the Brazilian MMA fighter. The bout ended with a big punch in round three that caused Figgy’s eye to close up.
The Mexican was spectacular inside the ring today; he outclassed the champion in the opening two rounds before landing the finishing blow. The big punch was so bad that it made the doctor enter the ring, which led to the decision that the two-time UFC flyweight champion can’t continue any further.

Following that, many professional MMA fighters congratulated and cheered for the 29-year-old on social media. Many acknowledged the effort from the former champion but admitted that it was Moreno’s night at UFC 283. A few fans even began counting the victories and led the Mexican 1-0.
Reportedly, Figgy Smalls was rumored to be moving to the bantamweight division due to weight gain. However, he quickly responded to the rumor with a positive sign, but he will not continue if he has to face his friend, Henry Cejudo, inside the cage.
