On his YouTube channel, former two-division champ Daniel Cormier analyzed the Diaz-Paul fight from a fighter’s perspective. He highlighted that Paul opted to fight Diaz instead of exercising the rematch clause with Tommy Fury.

“Jake had a rematch clause but instead of using the rematch clause, he goes and he fights Nate Diaz.” He said. “Now I believe this will be the biggest payday of Nate Diaz’s career and I know Nate has made a lot of money in the UFC.”
It’s possible that Cormier’s prediction will come true given Diaz’s loyal fan base and Jake Paul’s own audience and supporters. This could potentially result in a huge payday for both fighters.
