This act of sympathy and brotherhood between the two players, was brought to light in the latest episode of Green’s podcast, which reflects a unique bond between two dedicated players.
The player has also revealed his regret at his impulsive moves on the court, which has time and gain seen him lose his cool during play. The public apology shown above magnifies Green’s sincere efforts towards his personal growth and accountability.
Adam Silver convinced Draymond Green to hold off his retirement
During the after hours of the NBA games, Draymond Green, recently had a compelling conversation with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. The interaction unfolded during an emotionally charged episode of “The Draymond Green Show” where Green disclosed that he contemplated upon retirement while serving an indefinite league suspension.
Around the 24-minute mark of the podcast, Green mentioned the time when he poured out his feelings to Silver, expressing that mounting pressure has led him to entertain such retirement thoughts.
“Told him, ‘Adam this is too much for me. … This is too much. It’s all becoming too much for me….and I’m going to retire,'” Green revealed in the podcast.
To which Commissioner Silver replied, “‘You’re making a very rash decision and I won’t let you do that.”, then Green went like, “No, Adam. I’m not really sure it’s a rash decision. It’s just all too much.”
The two had a long conversation that turned out to be very helpful for Draymond. Later he mentioned in segment of his podcast that he is indeed grateful to Silver for convincing to decide against retirement.
“Very thankful to play in a league with a commissioner like Adam, who’s more about helping you than hurting you, helping you than punishing you. He’s more about the players”, Green revealed.
