What is Deontay Wilder’s latest excuse for unexpected loss to Joseph Parker?

Deontay Wilder hasn’t yet come out of the loss he suffered last weekend. After facing the loss via unanimous decision, losing all the rounds against Joseph Parker left the former WBC champion in doubt about whether he could make a comeback to the title fight reign.

Former WBC champion after sending apologies to the fans, has some words about the last loss he suffered against the only second man after Tyson Fury. Wilder, this time, is coming up with a demand along with the interpretation of his situation in the ring on December 23rd night.

Deontay Wilder’s latest excuse for the loss to Joseph Parker

Wilder’s upset loss against Joseph Parker hasn’t given him peaceful sleep. Even Tyson Fury and his wife sent heartwarming messages to not just Joseph but also to former boxing champion Deontay Wilder. But the 38-year-old hasn’t been able to move on from the total domination he suffered last weekend.

Wilder’s excuse this time for the loss was that he was just caught in one moment, but Parker’s punch was not that hurtful. “He caught me in a dashing moment. I f***ing zoned out for one minute; I don’t know what the f*** happened. The punch came, but it wasn’t anything that hurt; none of his punches fazed me at all.”

After learning about the excuses Deontay Wilder is making, many fans started to make fun of the former WBC champion and even criticized his statement, via Sportskeeda. However, Deontay Wilder also got himself into the conditional-based adoption bout offered earlier.

Wilder still wants to fight Joshua next, despite Parker’s loss

Wilder is still looking to make a mark in boxing and still thinks Anthony Joshua can be his opponent next. Joshua fulfilled his promise of defeating Otto Wallin on December 23rd. AJ was also targeting his bout against Wilder, but he failed to secure the victory.

Still, Deontay thinks there are chances; he may look to fight against Joshua. While talking to 78SportsTV, Wilder said, “When I lost, did you see how happy he was coming out? I broke out laughing, I said. ‘That N***A’s Happy as F*ck.’ I made him able to perform like that. He said, ‘I ain’t got to fight wilder.’”

Later, Wilder also talked about the rumor that if Anthony Joshua fails to win against him, then Joshua would retire. “The rumor was that he was talking about retiring if I won… March 9th, the fight can still go on. But this is a perfect way for them to get out.”

After the main event on December 23rd, Eddie Hearn didn’t look interested in Wilder’s performance and instead chose to offer a championship fight to Anthony Joshua.

What do you think should be the choice: Deaontay Wilder, retirement, or looking for a confidence-boosting matchup to get back on track?
