“You would get murdered”: Fans mock Terreance McKinney challenging Arman Tsarukyan after Renato Moicano dropped from UFC Vegas 72

Renato Moicano was getting ready for his second UFC main event bout. However, he will have to leave that plan out for now as he sustained an injury. In light of that event, Terreance McKinney proposed to stand in. Fans then brutally mocked him for the proposition.

The Brazilian will not take the center stage in the UFC octagon this month. He was supposed to take on Arman Tsarukyan on April 29. The injury has now tarnished all the possibilities for the fight scheduled to take place at lightweight inside the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.

What’s the future for Arman Tsarukyan?

However, Tsarukyan did not get any opponent, as of yet. Whether he will remain on the cards is still in the mix. There are speculations that he may be removed from the cards as well.

With UFC Vegas 72 less than two weeks away, it is almost close to impossible to arrange an opponent on such short notice. More importantly, it will be very hard to find someone who is willing to take on a five-round bout.

Tsarukyan could have made a mark in this five-round bout. He was set to headline for the first time in his UFC career. Moicano, who flourished at the back end of 2022, was a worthy opponent for him as well. Moicano last had his main event back in 2019 where he had to succumb to a defeat. While that was in featherweight, he has since moved to the lightweight division.

Fans mock Terreance McKinney

Fans however are divided on the outcome. However, people diverted from that news and started mocking McKinney. Many fans took a dig at McKinney. McKinney even replied to some claiming he will go on with his life as a fighter. However, his responses stopped in the flurry of comments.

One fan claimed that McKinney did not deserve to fight Tsarukyan. While another said to McKinney that “Arman eats you alive.” Another gave a grave remark writing, “You would get murdered.”

Some of McKinney’s fans still urged him to make this fight.  Although some delivered backhanded compliments as well. One appreciated McKinney, saying that it was best for him as he would have been probably defeated eitherway.

Moicano was all set to make his first appearance of this year. After his last fight in 2022 where he defeated Brad Riddell at UFC 281 in November, he was looking forward to this big fight. That rear naked choke win paved a path for him to tread. This main event could have opened up a new avenue. All efforts are in vain as of now.

Do you think Moicano could have won the main event? What is your stand on McKinney’s proposal?
